Hi, I’m Tijmen, Senior Online Consultant at Red Online Marketing.
Working at Red since
February 2017
What do you do at Red?
I am responsible for the online results of some of our larger clients. I lead projects that include multiple disciplines, such as advertising, SEO, email, conversion optimization and more. Regularly these are international projects so I work with colleagues in Germany and/or France. Besides thinking up, securing and analyzing a broad strategy, I also focus on campaign strategy. I devise campaigns across channels for maximum results, which often involve a combination of reach, traffic and revenue.
Describe yourself
Born and raised in Utrecht where I also work. For some years now I live in Nieuwegein with my girlfriend and two young kids. My vacation behavior has changed a lot because of this, I really enjoy working for clients that focus on the target group in which I fall. Before joining Red Online Marketing I was a start-up in online marketing, at MKB Clickservice. Soon I grew to team lead there but felt the need to work with larger clients and go deeper. I have now been working in the online marketing world for more than 10 years and I’m not done with that yet.
The thing that really appealed to me about Red Online Marketing was (and still is) the industries we work for. The fact that you help consumers and business owners make vacations happen makes me feel good. I am regularly stimulated by ads that my colleagues and I put live. Of course, visiting clients has never been so much fun either.
Your favorite vacation country
I hesitate between Curacao and Spain and with the latter especially Mallorca as a destination.
What do you like most about working in the travel and leisure industry?
The most fun is being involved with a product/service that I personally really enjoy. Who doesn’t want to go on vacation. I get a lot of inspiration from our customers and the bucket-list keeps getting longer and longer.
If you then also see that the work done leads to results and thus often to happy vacationers, then the story is complete!
